Commercial and Retail Collections

We manage delinquent accounts receivable. These services can be found on a flat fee, contingency or hourly rate basis. Our focus is on aggressive but professional collection and litigation activity designed to achieve results. Kenneth B. Drost, P.C.'s attorneys are supported by qualified Paralegals and Administrative Assistants, and maintain of-counsel affiliations with other qualified attorneys. Equipment Leasing and Secured Transactions

We provide transactional and litigation assistance to clients in the business of secured lending and have developed an expertise in representing small-ticket equipment lessors and automobile finance companies. As General Counsel to New Era Funding Corp., Ken Drost developed a computer-based program for litigating these small balance accounts which maximizes recoveries and drastically reduces cost. We utilize this system when litigating secured claims on behalf of our clients. As business persons ourselves, we appreciate the fact that legal services are not simply an exercise to be performed, but a tool that assists a business to achieve its profit goals.

Bankruptcy and Creditor's Rights

We represent creditors' interests in bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings, and in workout negotiations. We act aggressively to recover collateral for secured creditors and to monitor debtor compliance with approved plans of reorganization. Many of these services are offered on a flat fee basis, providing efficient representation and predictable cost control.

Business Litigations

Kenneth B. Drost, P.C. has represented clients at the trial and appellate levels of state court in Coo, Lake, DuPage, Will, Kane and McHenry counties in Illinois. Our attorneys have appeared in Federal and State Courts in Ohio, Delaware, Colorado, Wyoming, California, and Arizona. Mr. Drost is admitted to the Trial Bar for the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is admitted to practice in California. We have experience handling a wide variety of business disputes, but our strengths are concentrated in the areas of: securities and general civil fraud (including RICO); injunctions and emergency relief; corporate and shareholder disputes; employment agreement disputes; intellectual property and trade secrets; and general real estate and contract litigation.

Corporate and Commercial Law

We provide counsel on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including sales and acquisitions of physical assets and corporate stock, shareholder and partnership agreements, private and public securities offerings, contracts, sales promotion agreements, lease agreements, and other business transactions. Our clients have ranged from privately held corporations, partnerships and family businesses to large public corporations. The Firm's efforts are directed at recognizing, anticipating and solving problems of the proposed transactions allowing the project to move forward without undue delay.
